September 14 - September 16

Guess what. Still no package. We decided not to have another hotel stay because the manager was a jerk and only wanted cash. Forget that! So we just hung out at mickey D's for 4 hours, there we called Rose and asked her if she could help us again. "Sure, I'll have dinner cooking for you around 6:00". We had a few hours to burn so went over to the grocery store and grabbed some snacks. Before we was about to leave though a man came outwith a Dr.pepper in his hand and started talking to us and told us about fireman park. We needed a place to stay were we didn't have to watch out backs and our bikes all the time so he said that was the place to go. When we got their it was a definite change of scenery. We stayed here and even filled up a 2 liter bottle with a little bit of water and tossed it around. Sure enough the guy from the grocery store stopped by to see if we made it or not. He chatted with us a minute before he left he gave 20 dollars to my dad. Wow! thank you so much for that. You've helped us out more than you will ever know. At 6:20 we realized we better head our or we will miss dinner. Before we got there we a man drove up in his car and told us he was just driving through and was wondering if we needed dinner tonight. We told him we already had plans with someone else. We told him to check out our blog and went on down to Rose's house. When we got there we set up tent faster than we ever had before so we could go eat some delicious home cooked dinner. She had some lasagna and coleslaw. While we ate Rose joined us on the backporch and we watched the
first episode of the new series of survivor. Soon Debbie came out with us some little debbie's(Yes i laughed at this) star crunch and we all had one for dessert. After survivor was over she brought out her laptop and I helped get it started for her. Dad and I told her some tips and tricks for it and afterwards we all got pictures together before saying good-night.

We would all like to thank Rose and Debbie for their generosity and being so nice to us 'in a time of need. We will always remember you two and hopefully we can see you again. Thanks from all of us.

Today was a very big day. Like a 60 mile day big. Ill break it down into segments. 1. The package still hasn't come in. Dad was devastated but we moved on. 2. We went and saw what they call an Indian mound. Big ol' 5 story tall hill that Indians built by stamping dirt they brought over in baskets down until they formed a hill. I could tell you more but that's all you really need to know unless you just want to learn more. 3. the cable to my rear de-railer broke. We
temporarily fixed it until we learn how to repair it. 4. Finally crossed the Mississippi river and went into Louisiana. Before that though we grabbed some drinks and stopped by an alpaca farm were we relaxed before heading over the big bridge over the Mississippi river. All in all we got a whopping 60 mile day in today(mostly because we wanted to get out of Mississippi so bad) so I can't complain to much.

Last night night was a trip. Set up camp behind a church and Dad had a bright idea to set up some tin roofing or whatever it was to kind of hide us a little better from the highway. After getting in our tents Dad fell right out were it always takes me an hour before falling asleep. *creek* *pop* *pop* *groan* went the tin housing giving clues it wasn't set right. Sure enough *VROOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOM!* it went as it fell. I thought a 4 wheeler was about to run us over and Dad scared awake jumping to the other side of the tent screaming "WOAH WOAH WOAH" not sure if the church was falling down or a 18 wheeler was about to run us over. James laughed hysterically for 5 minutes or so until falling back to sleep. Stopped by the Arkansas visitor center. The lady at the counter was so nice and help full. Not only did she give us Arkansas maps but she even gave us Texas and Oklahoma maps too. Had some really delicious coffee too. Just what we needed. After that we ran into some horses(not literally) in a field and started feeding them some grace beside the road. The first horse was very eager to meet and eat from our hands but was spooked easy by dad taking a picture with flash. The next horse was a brown one and before I even started to feed him a girl pulled up in a jeep and offered us some dr.peppers. She said she saw us riding the bikes and knew we had to be thirsty. She even told us that the brown horse was called sparky. I really liked sparky, he let me pet him as I fed
him some grass. Later on up the road, sitting on the side of the road, was a tank. We took group photos of us around the tank. not much happened after that. We rode another 60 mile day today. we found a fire station and slept behind it.
